Low Road, Hunslet

I'm fascinated with this area of Leeds - what happened to all the people that lived there before the so called "slum clearance" in the 1950's ?

Where did everyone go ?

Morning Paul,

Possibly into the new development that was eventually called the "Leak Street Flats", which was pulled down because as the name suggests they whern't very water proof.

Other candidates would be the Belle Isle and Middleton estates.

:wave2: hi paul, i was born and bred in hunslet i lived on low rd. facing the school, then when i was 9 yrs old i went to live in pepper st. and lived there till 1962. a lot of our neighbours did go to belle isle and middleton from low rd. but i wish i could turn back time, and go back.
