My great grandfather James O'Dwyer was born in Tipperary in 1844. His parents were James O'Dwyer and Catherine Ryan. The family migrated to Leeds circa 1852 after his father died. James received his education in Leeds and then migrated to the US in 1867. Looking for details for James and his family during this time period. He had a sister Alice who died of tuberculosis probably during this period and a brother who practiced medicine in London. James may have lived in an orphanage for awhile and also may have received at least some of his education at a Catholic seminary.
